Day 4-
I ventured to Kyoto with my uncle, mom and aunt. Instead of taking JR my mom and I took Hankyu another train system. (Sorry if the pictures are blurry i was moving)
This is the Hankyu train line. We were on it for about an hour and a half.
This it Umeda Train Station where we transferred Trains. It is HUGE. There were about 10 lines.
This is the Takeshimaya Department Store in Kyoto. This it the Food Floor.
I saw my first Mini Cooper today :)
ONE bagel here costs almost 2 dollars!!! Crazy.
We went to a nearby alley for lunch. This alley has a lot of restaurants.
This is a Japanese Restaurant and apparently they only serve regulars. There are a lot of there in Kyoto.
We had lunch in a Japanese styled Western food restaurant.
This was a really good soup even though I didn't know what it really was. Maybe mushroom?
The lightest and fluffiest bread I had ever had.
This was my mom's main course. Ebi Fry. Shrimp Fry.
This was my Aunt's main course. Ginger Pork.
This was my uncle and my main course. Chicken. It was really good. The chicken was pan fried to perfection. MMM...
This is the street that the restaurant we ate at is on.
Here is the restaurant we ate at. Kaiyotei. That is my uncle and my mom.
This river is like a date river... haha couples come here on dates. Super cute. In the summer time the water rises really high right up to under the houses.
This is one of the buildings on this famous street in Kyoto that I can't remember the name of.
There were a lot of people. There are a lot of small boutiques on the street with Japanese souvenirs.
This is an interesting story. It is Japanese tradition that children at the ages 3, 5, and 7 go to the temple and ask for good luck. I got to see many little kids dressed up in adorable traditional Japanese outfits. Kind of like the one below. The following pictures are of the two temples that I visited and some of the scenic fall views in the area.
This is the train platform at Kyoto JR station on a Sunday afternoon. It was so packed and crazy.
The train was so full that I swear it was like 90 degrees in there. It is the only place in Japan where they turn on the air conditioner even in winter.
